Amendments

The deadline for submitting amendments to these motions is midday on Wednesday 11th October

Amendments may be submitted by Local Parties, the Welsh Party Board or Welsh Party Committees, or 20 members of the Welsh Liberal Democrats.

Amendments should be emailed to conference@welshlibdems.org.uk giving the name of the local party, committee or members who are submitting the amendment. The name of the members who will be speaking to the amendment at the Conference, both proposing and summating, should also be given in the submitting email.

Topical Motions

The deadline for submitting Topical Motions is midday on Wednesday 11th October

Topical Motions can be either policy or business motions but must be based on an issue that has arisen, or an event which has occurred, since 30th August 2023. The maximum length of a Topical Motion is 250 words.

Emergency Motions

Emergency Motions are proposals which relate to a specific recent development which occurred after the deadline for Topical Motions i.e. 11th October 2023.

The deadline for Emergency Motions is the start of the Conference unless the motion relates to a development which occurs during the Conference, in which case the deadline is two hours before the Emergency Motion session.

Emergency Motions should be brief and no more than 250 words.
