The Welsh Board
Steering the Party’s Big Picture
The Board is the team that keeps the whole party on track.
It:
- Signs off the annual budget and keeps an eye on the party’s finances.
- Makes sure everything the party does follows the law.
- Sets the long-term direction and ensures we stick to it.
- Decides how our staff team is structured and appoints someone to manage them day-to-day.
- Helps shape the party’s overall message, working closely with the campaigns and policy teams.
- Makes sure all committees are doing their jobs properly and steps in if something needs fixing.
- Makes political appointments to outside bodies and reports them to Conference.
- Approves who sits on campaign teams and manifesto groups after they’re nominated.
- Gives the final sign-off on our election manifestos.
- Ensures the party reflects and serves Wales’s diverse communities.
- Takes on any extra roles given to it by Conference or the Constitution.
