No to Coal Mines in Wales

Plans for the expansion of a coal mine in Wales could be approved soon despite pledges made by the UK Conservative Government at the Cop26 climate conference to move away from coal.

Not only would the opening of a new coal mines be a massive step backwards in our fight to stop climate change, but it could cause adverse health effects. The Government should be focusing on investing in South Wales to create jobs in the industries of the future, not an industry of the past.
