Preben joined the party in 2021 and is a member of Llanfairfechan Town Council.
Preben is pursuing a PhD in artificial intelligence at Bangor University focusing on speech recognition for minority languages.
Preben is the current Communications Officer for the Welsh Young Liberals. He sits on the Policy Development Committee and the Campaigns & Communications Committee as an ordinary member and is the WYL Representative to the Membership Development Committee. He is also the Membership Development Officer for the Aberconwy Liberal Democrats.
