Ceredigion Penfro (Ceredigion & Pembroke) is the new Senedd constituency which covers the Westminster constituencies of Ceredigion Preseli and Mid and South Pembrokeshire.

1) Sandra Jervis

The Welsh Liberal Democrats have announced that Sandra Jervis will head their party’s list for the Ceredigion Benfro (Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire) constituency at the 2026 Senedd election following a ballot of party members in the constituency. 

Sandra is a small business owner, who runs Creative Cove stationery shop in Lampeter, where she has lived for 20 years. She has three children with her husband Paul, and has a record of campaigning in the area, including plans to relocate Lampeter Library.

Cllr Alistair Cameron

2) Alistair Cameron

Alistair joined the Liberal Party in 1984. He was a Cheltenham Borough Councillor between 1986 and 1998 and a Gloucestershire County Councillor between 2000 and 2005. He has also been a Parliamentary, Senedd and European Parliamentary Candidate.

Alistair was elected as Pembrokeshire County Councillor for Kilgetty and Begelly in 2022. He is Chair of Pembrokeshire Liberal Democrats and ALDC Cymru.

Alistair has worked in Human Resources and as a teacher at a further education college. He currently serves as a school governor at a primary and a secondary school in Pembrokeshire.

Tom Hughes

3) Tom Hughes

Tom is currently a member of Fishguard and Goodwick Town Council, as well as being a serving Army Reservist and a volunteer with Fishguard Sea Cadets.

Having grown up in Pembrokeshire, Tom has lived, worked and studied across both Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire. He helped campaign against Plaid Cymru's closure of care homes in Ceredigion, as well as for improvements to public services in Pembrokeshire, including for better public transport and retention of services at Withybush Hospital.

Tom was the Welsh Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate for Preseli Pembrokeshire in 2019, and has worked as a caseworker for Mid and West Wales Senedd Member Jane Dodds. He is familiar with the challenges people face in Ceredigion Penfro, and how to best support constituents in need of help.

Lee Herring

4) Lee Herring

Lee grew up in Pembroke and has spent much of his life caring for his parents, shaping his commitment to service and community. He is a Pembroke Town Councillor and plays an active role at Foundry House Community Centre as a Trustee and Charity Secretary. He also serves as an Additional Community School Governor at Gelli Aur, his former school.

With experience across hospitality, retail, and health and social care, Lee understands the everyday pressures facing local people and small businesses. He is currently studying for a Bachelor of Laws with the Open University to strengthen his ability to advocate effectively at a national level.

Lee is driven by integrity, fairness, and a desire to secure better value for taxpayers while delivering meaningful change for Pembrokeshire and Wales. Above all, he wants to help build a fairer, more hopeful future for the next generation.

6) Andrew Lye

Andrew has called Pembrokeshire home for over twenty years and now lives in Neyland with his partner Carol. A passionate Liberal Democrat, he joined the party’s predecessor, the Social Democratic Party, in 1986 — and 2026 marks his 40th year of continuous membership.

Since moving to Wales in 2001, Andrew has become a well-known voice for liberal values in the west, serving as President of Pembrokeshire Liberal Democrats and writing the popular Positively Liberal column in the Pembrokeshire Herald.

Before settling in Wales, he gained valuable experience in local government in Wiltshire, including time as Council Leader and Town Council Chairman.
