Why did you join the Liberal Democrats?
Why are you interested in running the Welsh Liberal Democrats?
Why do you think you are suitable for this role?
I have been covering this role as the Exec Officer for Policy Development since the start of this year, following previous engagement in a Federal Policy Working Group on A Fairer Society. My understanding of devolved issues and Welsh Lib Dem policy following writing the 2021 manifesto allows me to raise issues effectively and offer constructive solutions. Furthermore, attending Federal Policy Committee whilst also chairing our Policy Development Committee allows me to build bridges between our work and reduce duplication where it is not needed.
What do you aim to achieve if elected to this role?
With a general election on the horizon my aims are to ensure that Wales is represented and our needs are met in the Federal manifesto and that any potential issues are flagged and addressed early on in the process. I also aim to better align the work of FPC with Welsh Policy Committee to ensure the timely production of the manifesto for the General Election in Wales.
