Jane Dodds - Wales Will Continue to Stand With Ukrainians

“A year today Russia launched a violent attack on a peaceful neighbour. The ensuing conflict has led to thousands of needless deaths and immense pain for families across Ukraine.

“The conflict is not only about Ukraine, but about the survival of the liberal international order where democracy, human rights and self-determination are paramount.

“The Welsh Liberal Democrats will continue to call unequivocally for Ukraine to receive all the support it needs from the UK Government, for sanctions against Russia to be ramped up to the fullest extent and for all Ukrainians fleeing the conflict who need a home to be welcomed with open arms to Wales.

“Putin cannot be allowed to win this conflict, the greater security of Europe and the world depends on it.”
