Lib Dems Respond to senior coroner's comments on ambulance delays

Commenting, Jane Dodds MS, Leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats, said:

“The coroner's stark warning must be a watershed moment in how we respond to the crisis engulfing our NHS and social care system. 

“These tragic deaths lay bare a broken system, where ambulance delays are the direct result of gridlocked hospitals and an overstretched, under-prioritised social care sector.

“The Welsh Liberal Democrats have consistently called for urgent social care reform to tackle bed blocking and relieve pressure on hospital capacity. Without fixing social care, we simply cannot fix the ambulance crisis. Yet time and again, Welsh Labour has kicked this vital reform into the long grass. It's not good enough.”
