Party Committees
Learn more about our team
The Party is run, on a day-to-day basis, by a team of Officers and committees. The work of Officers and the committees is overseen by the Party Conference, which meets twice a year at meetings which all Party members can attend.
The Party committees are:
The Board - responsible for maintaining a strategic overview and direction of the party.
The Campaigns & Communications Committee - responsible for running campaigns, the selection of candidates and the party's presence in the media.
The Welsh Candidates Sub-Committee - responsible for selecting and supporting our candidates.
The Policy Development Committee - responsible for developing the Party's policies.
The Finance & Resources Committee - responsible for managing the Party's finances and resources.
The Conference Committee - responsible for organising Party Conference meetings, including setting the agenda.
The Constitutional Affairs Committee - responsible for maintaining the Party's constitution, including proposing amendments to keep it up to date and relevant.
Declaration of Interests Policy
The Welsh Liberal Democrats have a Declaration of Interests Policy to prevent any conflict of interest that may arise for individuals between their role as members of, or contributors to the work of, committees or staff of the Welsh Liberal Democrats and their private or family interests or their association with other voluntary or community organisations, public authorities, commercial organisations or other bodies.
