Travelling to Cardiff by Train

Cardiff Central railway station is well served with regular trains from across Wales, as well as good connections to other parts of the UK.

The station is an easy 15 minute walk from the Conference venue. You should leave the station using the south entrance, nearest to platform 8. Travel east across Callahan Square, and pass under the railway bridge that leads to Herbert Street and on to Tyndall Street. The Novotel Cardiff Centre will be on your right hand side at the junction with Schooner Way. The entrance to the hotel is through the car park at the rear of the building. There is a pedestrian access from Tyndall Street in to the car park just before you get to the Novotel.

If you require a taxi to the venue, there is a taxi rank near the North entrance to the station, nearest platform 1.

Travelling to Cardiff by bus or coach

Bus services connect many local towns to Cardiff, with TrawsCymru and National Express services providing connections to the rest of Wales and beyond.

Most bus services terminate at various stops in Cardiff City Centre. The new Cardiff bus station, near the railway station, is scheduled to open in Spring 2024 and may be open in time for the Conference. Wherever your bus stops it should be a short walk to the venue

Coach services terminate in Sophia Gardens, which is a 30 minute walk to the venue. Taxis are often available in Sophia Gardens or at city centre taxi ranks. Alternatively you could book a taxi with a local taxi firm such as Dragon Taxis.

 

Travelling to Cardiff by Car

Parking spaces at the venue is limited.

There is limited, but free, parking available at the venue. You will need to take your parking ticket to the hotel reception, along with your Conference Badge, to have it validated.

Alternatively, there are a number of car parks in Cardiff city centre, with the NCP Cardiff Adam Street, NCP Cardiff Pellet Street, St David's Dewi Sant Car Park, John Lewis car park and NCP Cardiff Rapports being the nearest to the venue. These do however charge.

Please do not park illegally on nearby streets. There is a high probablility that you'll recieve a fixed penalty notice or even have your car clamped or towed away.
