Getting to Conference

Travelling to Swansea by Train

Swansea railway station is well served with regular trains from across Wales, as well as good connections to other parts of the UK.

The station is a 20 minute walk from the Conference venue. When leaving the station walk south along High Street. Continue straight on to Castle Street and on to Wind Street. Cross over the main road on to Somerset Place. The Dylan Thomas Centre, the venue for our Conference DInner, will be on your left hand side. To go to the Conference Building, UWTSD's IQ Building, continue over the river using the footbridge and immediately turn right, on to Pipers Walk. The UWTSD campus will be on your left hand side.

Travelling to Swansea by bus or coach

Bus services connect many local towns to Swansea, with TrawsCymru and National Express services providing connections to the rest of Wales and beyond.

Most bus services terminate at Swansea Bus Station, which is around a 25 minute walk from the Conference venue.

You should leave the bus station at it's south exit (near Tesco) and turn left on to Wellington Street, so that you're walking along side Tesco. Turn right on to Albert Row and then turn left on to Oystermouth Road, which continues on to Victoria Road. You should cross Victoria Road to be on the same side as the LC Waterpark, and continue past the Swansea Museum. When you reach Morgans Hotel turn right on to Somerset Place. The Dylan Thomas Centre, the venue for our Conference DInner, will be on your left hand side. To go to the Conference Building, UWTSD's IQ Building, continue over the river using the footbridge and immediately turn right, on to Pipers Walk. The UWTSD campus will be on your left hand side.

Travelling to Swansea by Car

Swansea is just off the M4 and the Conference venues are accessible by car with limited charged for onsite parking.

There is a cost for parking onsite of £5 a day.
