Job Details
Do you want to make the world around you a better place to live? Do you want to see your values making a real difference in people’s lives? Do you want to work alongside leading figures in the Welsh Liberal Democrats and a growing team of campaigners? If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, this role is the perfect opportunity for you!
Hot on the heels of our successful General Election campaign, with David Chadwick MP regaining the seat of Brecon, Radnor and Cwm Tawe for the party, and two recent byelection gains in the constituency, we are looking for a strong self-starter to continue our successes in 2026 and beyond.
Winning elections is the best way of putting our values into action. With crucial Senedd elections under a new electoral system next year, and the aim to take majority control of Powys County Council in 2027, we are aiming to build a team that can support Lib Dem wins across the constituency.
In this role, you would play a critical role in the Campaign Strategy Team, helping to develop our local messaging and plan the campaign needed to win. You would also be expected to manage the operational side of the campaign, coordinating several strands of work and multiple volunteer teams.
In order to deliver on our objectives, you will lead on growing our volunteer base at all levels, and will be expected to demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills when communicating and coordinating activity with lead volunteers. You’d work closely alongside our MP and MS, as well as Lib Dem councillors and campaigners across the constituency
This is a real opportunity to use and develop your skills in campaigning, communications, marketing and public relations within an exciting political context. You will benefit from on-the-job coaching and mentoring from an experienced Campaigns Manager, as well as training on all aspects of the role alongside fellow new recruits across the country.
